Towering Pines
Plan Your Stay

A short list of things you'll want to know.

We're a Minnesota place — quiet, family-first, a little particular about a few things. Here's the truthful list before you book.

01Pet Policy

No pets, no animals — overnight or visiting.

We make no exceptions. It's how we keep the property comfortable for guests who travel here specifically because of it.

02Payment

Cash, check, or Zelle.

No credit cards, no Venmo. The deposit secures the cabin; the balance is settled at check-in.

03Bring

Towels, soap, charcoal.

Beach, bath, and kitchen towels — we do not supply them. Bath soap, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent. Charcoal for the grill. Outdoor chairs if you want extras. We supply toilet paper and bed linens; bring all other paper products. We don't stock cribs or high chairs.

07Check-in / out

Arrive after 4. Out before 9.

Cabins are ready for the next family at 4pm; departure is by 9am. Spring and fall stays may have flexible times — please ask when reserving.

08Inside the cabin

Modern kitchens, gas heat, no portable A/C.

Every cabin has a full kitchen and gas heat. Central air is in cabins 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19. A 10–12″ fan is supplied in each bedroom for the others. Portable air conditioners cannot be brought in or used.

04Don't bring

ATVs, drones, fireworks, and a few other things.

No ATVs or guest golf carts (unless medically necessary). No drones, fireworks, turkey fryers, tiki lanterns, tents, RVs, portable air conditioners, or portable fire pits. Scooters and bikes ride on the driveways, please — not the grass.

05Season

Second week of May to mid-September.

Email is answered year-round if you want to plan ahead. The lake comes back in May. The loons leave in September. We close the gate behind them.

06Reserving

Returning guests have first claim.

If you've stayed before, your week is held until you confirm or pass. Reservations open up to one year in advance. The cabin deposit is collected when the future reservation is established.
