Whitefish Chain
An old summer, every year

The same lake, the same pines, the same week in July.

Towering Pines is a family-run resort on the Whitefish Chain, kept by Roger and Jodi Nies. We don't have a spa or a concept restaurant. We have a sand-bottom swimming area, fifteen cabins under hundred-year pines, eighteen acres of woods to wander, and a stretch of shoreline that catches the morning sun on one end and the sunset on the other.

Most of our guests have been coming for years. The week feels familiar before you've even unpacked.

Plain talk

A few things we're up front about.

We're a Minnesota place. That means a few rules, a season that ends when the loons leave, and an honest list of what to bring.
